Shift/schedule: Days (M-F)

Expected Hours/week: 24-32 hours

Pay: Starting at $60/hr

JOB SUMMARY:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a critical component of our care team when it comes to helping LUX Infusion change the way patients experience infusion here in Alaska. The NP for this position is going to lead the clinical team by example, helping to maintain the top-notch LUX Infusion culture that has set us apart. While leading the nursing team to provide expert clinical oversight for all therapies being administered in a spa-like atmosphere, the NP will promote a collaborative approach with all members of the care delivery team while overseeing day-to-day operations within clinic.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates ability to learn and maintain strong knowledge of existing and developing infusion therapies

  • Aids in the review of new referrals, ensuring all clinical components recommended by medication manufacturers, as well as mandates of insurers, are being met to uphold patient safety

  • Conducts patient intake appointments across the lifespan, including basic patient assessments relative to specific therapies

  • Provides excellent infusion care to patients, ensuring all related documentation are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner

  • Provides training and supervision of nursing staff and aiding in times of required higher-level decision making and assessment (ie. Evaluation and management of visits)

  • Collaborates daily with LUX Infusion administrative team to aid in clinic staffing, development of medical policies, and any other short and long-term needs of clinic site.

  • Actively participates in continuing education opportunities with ability to motivate other clinical staff to be equally as committed and engaged to their growth

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:

Graduate from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program and active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in the state of Alaska.
