While at Montana, she embarked on a philanthropic medical mission to Mongolia through the Davidson Honors College, which further ignited her desire to have a career in health care. Post-graduation, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant before enrolling in Montana State University’s accelerated BSN program to pursue her lifelong goal of becoming a registered nurse.

As a nurse, Melissa worked at the Queen’s Hospital in Honolulu, HI focusing on medical oncology. As a spouse to an active-duty military officer, her next pursuit was at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA where she had the pleasure of working as an infusion nurse, administering various oncologic therapies as well as clinical trial drugs.

Melissa continues to be a proud spouse to her husband, now an Alaska Air National Guardsman and enjoys spending time with her two young sons. She is eager to continue to build relationships with community members and ensure patients are receiving nothing short of the best care while at LUX Infusion.
