Managing Pre-authorizations

  • Our intake team at LUX Infusion specializes in managing through the complex pre-authorization process with insurance companies. Simply put, we manage the pre-auths, so you don’t have to!

  • The LUX Patient Navigator will continue to stay in communication with the patient, in order to to keep them informed of the status of their pre-auth and expected timing of the start of treatment (generally less than 7 days from receipt of order).

Initial Appointment Schedule

  • Immediately upon receiving verification of the pre-authorization, the LUX Patient Navigator will contact the patient for all necessary preparations and appointment setting.

  • Concurrent with scheduling the initial appointment, the LUX Patient Navigator will provide the patient with all necessary financial assistance programs available, in order to minimize the economic impact of the treatment.

The Infusion Experience

  • LUX Infusion specializes in creating a comfortable, luxurious and accommodating environment for your patients. We offer the choice of private or semi-private infusion suites, state-of-the-art infusion chairs with massage and heating features, warm blankets, snacks and drinks, aimed at creating a relaxed, anxiety-free setting for the patient. All infusions are supervised by our experienced infusion nurses and nurse practitioners, with the aim of providing clinical excellence in the optimal patient environment.

Post-Infusion Follow-Up Process

  • LUX Infusion’s clinical staff will provide a follow-up contact with the patient within 24 hours of the treatment

  • A LUX Patient Navigator will follow-up with your office with all chart notes and any relevant comments
